What kind of garden is Marmanda for?
A hobby vegetable garden: a few square metres, a raised bed, a strip along a wall, a handful of planters. It is not a market-gardening tool and it is not a self-sufficiency tool.
Do I need to know agronomy?
No. You describe your garden in plain words: how big it is, which way it faces, what the soil is like, what you enjoy eating. Marmanda does the rest and explains every choice. The technical detail stays available if you want to read it.
Where do the recommendations come from?
From a versioned agronomic catalogue where every fact carries its source, publication date, measurement conditions and limits. When data is missing for your situation, Marmanda says so and abstains rather than inventing a reassuring number.
Does it work outside France?
Recommendations depend on territory. The interface is available in French and English, and proposals cover the territories for which admissible data exists. If yours isn't covered yet, Marmanda tells you plainly instead of guessing.
Are my gardens private?
Yes. A garden belongs to the account that created it, and only that account can reach it. Nothing is public unless you decide to share it.
What does the free plan include?
Enough to describe a garden, generate a crop plan and browse the entire agronomic library. Enough to judge honestly whether Marmanda suits you before paying anything.
Can I stop whenever I want?
Yes. You can cancel at any time from your account, and access runs to the end of the period you already paid for. Your gardens and your journal stay readable afterwards.
Where does the name Marmanda come from?
From Marmande, a town in south-west France known for its tomato. It's a nod to where the project started, not a limit: Marmanda handles the whole vegetable garden.
